of <h1>India Revises Tariff Values for Edible Oils, Metals, and Other Commodities Under Customs Act, 1962 via Notification No. 74/2017-CUSTOMS.</h1> The Government of India, through the Central Board of Excise and Customs, issued Notification No. 74/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.) on July 31, 2017, amending previous tariff values for certain goods under the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values are specified for various items including edible oils, brass scrap, poppy seeds, areca nuts, gold, and silver. Tariff values are set per metric tonne for items like crude palm oil, RBD palm oil, and crude soybean oil, while gold and silver are valued per 10 grams and per kilogram, respectively. This amendment updates the previous notification dated August 3, 2001.
