of <h1>Central Government Amends Schedule IV of Companies Act 2013; Key Changes to Authority and Timeframes Explained.</h1> The Central Government has amended Schedule IV of the Companies Act, 2013. Changes include substituting 'acting within his authority' with 'act within their authority' in paragraph III, sub-para (12), replacing 'a period of not more than one hundred and eighty days' with 'three months' in paragraph VI, sub-para (2), and changing 'in a year' to 'in a financial year' in paragraph VII, sub-para (1). A new note specifies that certain provisions do not apply to Government companies if specified requirements by relevant Ministries or State Governments are met. This amendment takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette.
