Extends Tax Benefit for Assam Hospital Project u/s 35AC, Ensuring Funds Use Until 2017-18.</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project 'Construction of building, equipment, furnishing and running of Hospital and Research Centre at Hojai, District Nagaon, Assam' by an anonymous public trust under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved in 1997, the project has been periodically extended, with the latest extension covering the financial years 2015-16 to 2017-18, maintaining the approved cost of Rs. 7593.00 lakh. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, contingent on the proper utilization of raised funds for the project.
