Initially notified in 2009 and extended in 2012, the project is now approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2015-16 through 2017-18. The project, with an approved cost of 21.95 crore, including a corpus fund of 4.00 crore, continues to receive support following the National Committee's recommendation, confirming its proper execution.
