of <h1>India Extends Tax Benefits for Disha Charitable Trust Projects Under Section 35AC Until 2016-17</h1> The Government of India has extended the approval of the Disha Charitable Trust's projects, including the Disha Special School and Therapy Centre, Disha Autism Centre, and a community-based rehabilitation program in Vadodara, Gujarat, as eligible projects under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially approved for three years ending in the financial year 2010-11 and extended to 2013-14, these projects are now approved for an additional three years from 2014-15 to 2016-17. The estimated cost remains 1.24 crore, as recommended by the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
