The project, originally notified in 1994, has undergone several extensions and cost revisions. The latest amendment increases the project's cost from 918.45 lakh to 2297 lakh, including a corpus fund of 205 lakh. This decision follows a recommendation by the National Committee for the Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare, confirming the project's proper execution.
