of <h1>Government Approves SEWA Rural's Integrated Development Project as Eligible Under Section 35AC, Extends for Three Years</h1> The Central Government has designated the Integrated Rural Development project by SEWA Rural in District Bharuch as an eligible scheme under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This project focuses on health and medical services for rural poor and tribals, vocational training for those aged 15 to 35, poverty alleviation, income generation for women, promotion of cottage industries, and low-cost housing. Initially approved for three years starting from the 1996-95 assessment year, it has been extended for an additional three years, covering assessment years 1997-98 to 1999-2000, with an estimated cost of INR 4.185 crore.
