      Seeks to prescribe BCD and AIDC on Raw Cotton for a specified period.
      Summary: Exempts imports of raw cotton under Chapter 5201 from customs duty and Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess to the extent those levies exceed amounts calculated at the specified standard rates, both of which are set at nil, under powers of section 25 of the Customs Act and section 124 of the Finance Act, 2021, for the period specified in the notification, with the expiry date later substituted by a subsequent notification.

      Fixation of Tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Areca Nut, Gold and Silver
      Summary: Amendment under section 14 of the Customs Act substitutes TABLE 1, TABLE 2 and TABLE 3 in the principal notification to fix US dollar tariff values for specified imports, listing commodity-specific benchmark values for edible oils, brass scrap, areca nut, and specified forms of gold and silver to govern customs assessment; the notification takes effect the day after publication.

      Amendment in Notification No. 8241-FIN-CTI-TAX-0043/2017, dated the 7th March, 2019
      Summary: The State Government amends the Odisha GST notification to insert, after serial number 3, four tariff entries with HSN codes covering fly ash bricks or fly ash aggregate with 90 per cent or more fly ash content and fly ash blocks; bricks of fossil meals or similar siliceous earths; building bricks; and earthen or roofing tiles. The amendment is incorporated into Notification No. 8241-FIN-CTI-TAX-0043/2017 and is deemed effective from 1 April 2022.

      Amendment in Notification No. 8229-FIN-CTI-TAX-0043/2017, dated the 7th March. 2019
      Summary: The State Government amends the Odisha GST notification by inserting specified brick and tile products-including fly ash bricks or fly ash aggregate with high fly ash content, fly ash blocks, bricks of fossil meals or similar siliceous earths, building bricks, and earthen or roofing tiles-into the annexure table after the existing serial entry, thereby integrating those goods into the state GST classification and levy framework; the amendment is deemed to have come into force from the commencement date stated in the notification.

      8512-FIN-CT-1-TAX-0001/2022 - dated - 5-4-2022 - Orissa SGST
      Seeks to provide for a concessional rate on intra state supply of bricks conditional to not availing the ITC
      Summary: Concessional State GST applies to intra state supplies of specified bricks and earthen roofing tiles where suppliers have not availed input tax credit on goods or services used exclusively for those supplies and have reversed any partly used input tax credit as if the supplies were exempt; the tariff interpretation follows the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act and the concession is effective from the first day of April, 2022.

      Amendment in Notification No. 19829-FIN-ÇT1-TAX 0022/2017, dated the 29th June, 2017
      Summary: Amendment to an Odisha GST notification removes specified serial entries from Schedule I (lower rate) and inserts new serial entries into Schedule II (higher rate) listing fly ash bricks or fly ash aggregate with high fly ash content and fly ash blocks; bricks of fossil meals or similar siliceous earths; building bricks; and earthen or roofing tiles. The amendment is issued under section 9(1) and section 15(5) of the Odisha GST Act and is deemed to have come into force on 1 April 2022.

      Notifying Registration threshold limit for brick manufacturers as ₹ 10 lakhs
      Summary: Notification amends Tripura State GST rules to set a registration threshold applicable to brick manufacturers and to specify covered brick product categories-fly ash bricks/aggregate, fly ash blocks, bricks of siliceous earths, building bricks, and earthen or roofing tiles-thereby clarifying classification and applicability; the amendment, issued under state GST authority on Council recommendation, takes effect from 1 April 2022.

      Exclusion of taxpayers supplying bricks from composition scheme
      Summary: The Tripura State GST notification amends the composition-scheme exclusion table by inserting four entries for specified brick and tile goods-fly ash bricks/blocks, bricks of fossil meals or similar siliceous earths, building bricks, and earthen or roofing tiles-thereby excluding suppliers of these listed goods from eligibility for the composition scheme under the proviso to section 10(1) of the Tripura SGST Act, with effect from the first day of April, 2022.

      S.O. 1805 (E). - dated - 12-4-2022 - SEZ
      Central Government de-notifies an area of 2.89 hectares, thereby making resultant area as 4.30 hectares at Village Chokkanahalli Taluka, Yelahanka Hobli, Bangalore North, in the State of Karnataka.
      Summary: Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act and Rules, de-notifies 2.89 hectares of the sector-specific SEZ at Chokkanahalli Taluka, reducing the notified area to 4.30 hectares. The de-notification follows the developer's proposal, State approval, and the Development Commissioner's recommendation, with a developer undertaking to convert the de-notified land into Domestic Tariff Area for industrial allotment; specific survey numbers and hectare amounts are specified.

      Central Government de-notifies an area of 4.4654 hectares, thereby making the total area of the Special Economic Zone as 13.5346 hectares at Village Mulavana, District Kollam in the State of Kerala
      Summary: Central Government de-notifies 4.4654 hectares from the sector-specific IT SEZ at Village Mulavana, Kollam, making the SEZ area 13.5346 hectares. The State entity proposed the de-notification, the State Government approved it, and the Development Commissioner recommended deletion. Out of the de-notified land, a major portion will be transferred to the State revenue department for allotment to the Fisheries Department for a research centre and the remainder will be used for a working women's hostel. The de-notification is issued under the Central Government's statutory powers and applicable SEZ Rules after satisfaction of legal prerequisites.
