      Seeks to impose definitive anti-dumping duty on "Textured Tempered Coated and Uncoated Glass" originating in or exported from Malaysia
      Summary: Imposes anti-dumping duty on Textured Toughened (Tempered) Glass (specified transmission, thickness and dimension criteria) originating in or exported from Malaysia and imported into India. Xinyi Solar (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is assigned Nil duty; other producers exporting from Malaysia to India and goods produced elsewhere but exported from Malaysia to India are assigned a specified duty per metric ton. Duties are effective for five years, payable in Indian currency, with exchange conversion as per Ministry of Finance notifications and the bill of entry date.

      Seeks to further amend notification No. 50/2017-customs dated 30th June 2017 to postpone the implementation of increased customs duty on specified imports originating in USA from 2nd March, 2019 to 1st April, 2019
      Summary: Amends Notification No.50/2017-Customs by substituting in the third proviso the words and figures "2nd day of March, 2019" with "1st day of April, 2019", thereby postponing the commencement of the increased customs duty on specified imports originating in the United States. The amendment is made under sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962 and sub-section (12) of section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 on grounds of public interest.

      Administrative changes in the jurisdiction of Chief Commissioner Customs Zone II Mumbai.
      Summary: The amendment substitutes serial number 7 in Table-2 to reassign specified areas-including the major port, associated CFS/warehouses, Karanja Terminal, listed municipal districts for preventive functions, and the Continental Shelf and EEZ as extended-to designated officer designations (principal/commissioner-level and subordinate Additional/Joint/Deputy/Assistant Commissioners) within Mumbai Zone; the change is effected under section 4(1) of the Customs Act and takes effect on publication in the Official Gazette.

      Foreign Exchange Management (Export and import of Currency) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019
      Summary: The amendment substitutes Regulation 8(1) to permit an individual travelling from India to Nepal or Bhutan to carry Reserve Bank of India notes of the Mahatma Gandhi (new) Series of specified denominations up to a prescribed total limit, while maintaining prohibitions on taking or sending Indian currency and RBI notes above the stated denominations; it takes effect on publication in the Official Gazette under powers of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, 1999.

      Extension of due date for filing of ITRs/Audit Report for the A.Y. 2018-19 in respect of Kerala Region
      Summary: The Board, invoking its powers under section 119(2), directs that taxpayers whose return and audit report for AY 2018-19 were due on 31.10.18 and who file up to 28.02.19 shall be deemed to have filed by 31.10.18. Returns filed in the relevant window shall be exempt from interest under section 234A. Unprocessed returns will be processed and already processed returns will be rectified by CIT-CPC or the concerned jurisdictional authority under section 154. Relief is limited to taxpayers of the affected region with the specified due date.
