<h1>Visa waiver travelers may soon have to submit years of social media, contact, and family data before travel authorization.</h1> DHS proposes expanding ESTA requirements for Visa Waiver Programme travelers to include five years of social media information, up to ten years of email addresses, telephone numbers used over the past five years, metadata from submitted photos, and detailed family members' birthplaces and contact information, implementing an executive directive to enhance screening for national security threats and subject to a 60-day public comment period.
