Vide notification no. 40 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 17-9-2008, central government once again amended the policy relating to export of Rice, Maize and Wheat.
Entries No. 45A, 46B and 46A of Table 10 of the Export Policy
Now, Export of Non-Basmati Rice, Maize and Wheat of the seed quality can be exported freely subject to certain conditions.
Main condition is that the export consignment of seeds has been chemically treated and is not fit for human consumption.
Earlier export of Basmati Rice including (Dehusked (Brown), semi-milled, milled both in either par-boiled or raw condition) was allowed vide notification no. 39 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 16-9-2008
Export of seed-quality non-basmati cereals permitted when consignments are chemically treated and rendered unfit for human consumption. Free export is permitted for non-basmati rice, maize and wheat of seed quality provided the export consignments are chemically treated and rendered not fit for human consumption; this treatment condition is the operative requirement for unrestricted export.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
