Railway Minister flags off seven new trains including three Amrit Bharat Expresses, boosting rail connectivity and electrification progress
The Railway Minister, joined by the Bihar Deputy Chief Minister, flagged off seven trains in Bihar - three Amrit Bharat Expresses (Muzaffarpur-Charlapalli, Chhapra-Anand Vihar, Darbhanga-Ajmer) and four passenger services (Patna-Buxar, Jhajha-Danapur, Nawada-Patna, Patna-Islampur). The additions bring the national Amrit Bharat total to 30, 26 originating in Bihar. Officials said the moves further connectivity goals, noting full electrification of Bihar's network, 1,899 km of new track, completion of major rail-cum-road bridges and lines, a state rail budget allocation of about Rs 10,066 crore, and ongoing projects valued near Rs 1 lakh crore; assembly elections are likely soon.
