<h1>Uttar Pradesh Excise Department attracts Rs 39,479 crore investment through 135 MOUs creating 73,524 jobs</h1> The Uttar Pradesh Excise Department organized an investor summit to attract fresh investments and expedite capital infusion in existing alcohol-based industry projects. The state minister announced that 142 proposals were received through the investment agency, with 135 memorandums of understanding signed involving Rs 39,479.39 crore investment and 73,524 employment opportunities. Currently, 19 units are operational with Rs 2,339.6 crore investment and 2,316 employees, while 27 units are under establishment. The department's revenue increased 3.7 times from Rs 14,273 crore in 2016-17 to Rs 52,573.07 crore in 2024-25, contributing 24.75 percent of total state revenue.
