<h1>Khurda Road-Balangir Rail Project Achieves Major Milestone with 2.6-km Tunnel Completion in Nayagarh, Odisha.</h1> The Khurda Road-Balangir New Rail Line Project in Odisha has reached a significant milestone with the breakthrough of a 2.6-km tunnel between Buguda and Banigochha in Nayagarh district. This tunnel, the longest in the district and second longest in the project, was completed using the New Austrian Tunneling Method. The project, spanning 301 km and featuring seven tunnels, aims to enhance connectivity between eastern and western Odisha, boosting transportation and economic potential. Currently, 215 km of the rail line is complete, with the remaining sections expected to finish soon, significantly reducing travel time between Bhubaneswar and Balangir.
