Dubey has been appointed as the 28th Controller General of Accounts (CGA) for the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, effective March 6, 2023. A 1989-batch Indian Civil Accounts Service officer, Dubey previously served as Additional Controller General of Accounts with the Public Financial Management System. His extensive career includes roles as Chief Controller of Accounts in various ministries and as Financial Advisor in the Bank Note Press, Dewas. He also has international experience with the United Nations. The CGA acts as the principal advisor on accounting matters to the Union Government, overseeing management accounting systems and internal audits.
