<h1>Central Consumer Protection Authority strengthens consumer remedies and enables class actions, recalls, refunds and product liability enforcement.</h1> The bill replaces the existing law with a framework establishing Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions at district, state and national levels and creates a Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) empowered to prevent unfair trade practices, initiate class actions and order remedies including recall, refund and return of products, alongside statutory product liability and measures to improve consumer access to redress.
