India Proposes Amendments to Courier Imports and Exports Rules; Introduces New Form for Appendix 3C Goods Entry.
The Government of India's Ministry of Finance, through the Central Board of Excise and Customs, has proposed amendments to the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998. The amendments, titled the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Amendment Regulations, 2016, will take effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. Key changes include the insertion of the term "Courier Shipping Bill CSB-V" in various sub-regulations of regulation 6. Additionally, for goods specified in Appendix 3C of the Foreign Trade Policy (2015-20), entries must be made using the Form Courier Shipping Bill CSB-V. Public comments and suggestions are invited on the draft notification.
