Directorate of Income Tax (PR,PP & OL) scores a hat-trick by winning third time in a row! The Taxpayers' Lounge set up by Directorate of Income Tax (PR,PP & OL) was awarded the Bronze Medal by Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Hon'ble Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Government of India for excellence in display in the 33rd India International Trade Fair 2013 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi in the Award ceremony held on 27^th November 2013.

Through the Taxpayers' Lounge various taxpayer services like e-filing of returns, viewing of tax credit through 26AS, applications for PAN ans services of Tax Return Preparers were showcased effectively to the public. Activities to engage with school children and youth were also organized in the Lounge to generate interest and awareness about taxation in a fun manner as they are potential taxpayers of the future.

The Income Tax Department's Taxpayers' Lounge received public recognition for showcasing taxpayer services-including e filing, Form 26AS tax credit access, PAN applications and Tax Return Preparer assistance-and for conducting engagement activities aimed at schoolchildren and youth to promote tax awareness and future compliance.
