Pension increase entitlement questioned as the statutory pension appears fixed and beneficiaries seek scheme remedies and redressal. EPF pensioners lack awareness of scheme rules and view the pension as effectively fixed due to absence of routine allowances; they query a perceived periodic revision mechanism and seek remedies within the scheme for pension increases. Separately, administrative hurdles-delayed or rejected applications and restricted file access controlled by individual clerks-are identified, raising grievance-redress and procedural transparency concerns in pension administration. EPF Pension was made mandatory to all PSU Employees since 1995. Now the EPF Pensioners

are facing lot of hardship as they are not aware of the Rules & Regulations of EPF Pension Scheme.

There is no DA or any allowance thus making it a fixed pension.  We understand that there is a provision for increase of pension to certain percent for evry 5 years.  In such case the pension would have revised not less than 3 times.  It is also understood from the news papers that G.O.I is going to increase the minimum pension to Rs.1000/-.  How about the pensioners drawing more than 1000/- ?  Since the pension is very meagre the

pensioners are not able to meet their both ends.  Can you suggest some remedies that is already available in the scheme itself.  Whether there is any provision of increase in pension.

This will help us to write to Govt. for increase of pension for their consideration.

I have a grievience. I have applied for pension in  April 2011 . till date there is no action despite follow. I undertsand the application alsong with scores of others were rejected in March 2012. The department is not able to give me the reasons as the concerned clerk is on leave and  he only knows the pass word to my file.  It may be meagre pension but why should I leave it . I recently had  a bye pass and financially gone down.
