Regd : Notional rent for commercial property not let out during the year

Whether notional rent for the purpose of ALV can be apply In case If any individual who is owning commercial property could not let out during the year .

In my understanding section 23(4) apply only to residential property ( ses section 23(2) )

Notional rent for unlet commercial property: whether annual letting value applies when property remains vacant. Whether notional rent measured as annual letting value is chargeable where an owned commercial property remains unlet during the year; the query contrasts this with the view that the statutory deemed rent provision applies only to residential property and raises the operative question of whether deemed rent rules extend to unlet commercial premises.
