of <h1>India's DGFT Eases Export Quota Rules for Broken Rice: Lower Shipment Threshold, Extended Deadlines, Flexible Importer Info.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) of India has updated the procedure for allocating quotas for the export of broken rice on humanitarian and food security grounds, following requests from foreign governments. Amendments include reducing the minimum sea shipment threshold from 8,000 MT to 2,000 MT, extending the application deadline to July 3, 2023, and allowing exporters 90 days to submit the Landing Certificate post-export. The online application form has been modified to make importer details optional. These changes aim to address difficulties faced by exporters in the application process.
