For imports, the declaration of IUPAC names and CAS numbers is required for chemicals under specific chapters of the Customs Tariff Act. For exports, declarations must include the name of medicinal plants, formulations, and surface materials for specific products. These measures aim to improve assessment efficiency and policy-making. Importers and exporters must comply with these requirements from the specified date, as outlined in the annexures of the circular.
