<h1>DGFT Sets New Guidelines for Importing Areca Nut from Bhutan Without MIP; Annual Limit Set at 17,000 MT.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has outlined the procedure for obtaining a Registration Certificate for importing Fresh (green) Areca Nut from Bhutan without the Minimum Import Price (MIP) condition. For the latter half of fiscal year 2022-23, 8,500 MT may be imported, and for 2023-24 onwards, 17,000 MT annually. Importers must apply for the certificate via the DGFT website, with a maximum of 500 MT per certificate. Certificates are valid for six months or until the fiscal year's end. The DGFT may modify the process as necessary.
