of <h1>Foreign Trade Handbook Amended: TRQ Authorization Now Needs IEC for Tariff Head 7108 Imports via Qualified Jewellers.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended condition (o) of Annexure-IV of Appendix-2A in the Handbook of Procedure 2015-2020, aligning it with a notification from the Department of Revenue. The amendment pertains to the Tariff Rate Quota (TRQ) authorization for items under Tariff head 7108. It now requires the Importer Exporter Code (IEC) of nominated agencies as notified by the Reserve Bank of India or the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, or qualified jewellers as notified by the International Financial Services Centres Authority. TRQ imports under ITC(HS) 71081200 may be conducted through qualified jewellers using the India International Bullion Exchange.
