of <h1>Kattupalli Port Added to PSIC Exemption List for Metallic Scrap Imports from Safe Countries Under Para 2.54(d)(v)(iv.</h1> The Director General of Foreign Trade has amended Para 2.54(d)(v)(iv) of the Handbook of Procedures, 2015-2020, to include Kattupalli as a port where Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) is not required for importing metallic scrap from safe countries such as the USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the EU. These imports must be accompanied by a certificate confirming the absence of radioactive materials or explosives and are subject to radiation and explosive checks at the ports. This amendment increases the number of ports exempt from PSIC for such imports from 15 to 16.
