of <h1>DGFT Eliminates Physical RCMC Requirement for FTP Incentives; Validity Checked Online via DGFT Database from July 2019.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) announced that from July 1, 2019, physical copies of Registration-Cum-Membership Certificates (RCMCs) are no longer required when applying for incentives under the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP). The validity of RCMCs will be verified directly from the DGFT database, updated by Export Promotion Councils (EPCs). Exporters can check their RCMC status online. Entities need only one RCMC from their relevant EPC, and obtaining additional RCMCs for other businesses or services is optional. Membership with the Service Export Promotion Council (SEPC) is optional if an entity exports services after obtaining an RCMC for goods.
