of <h1>Jurisdiction Changes for Customs Commissionerates with GST: New Roles for Bangalore and Mangalore from January 15, 2018.</h1> The reorganization of jurisdiction for Customs Commissionerates in light of GST implementation is detailed in this notice. Effective from January 15, 2018, the jurisdictional changes include the Principal Commissionerate of Airport & Air Cargo Complex Bangalore overseeing the Air Cargo Complex and Bangalore International Airport. The Bangalore City Commissionerate will manage the Inland Container Depot, Postal Appraising Division, and export promotion tasks previously handled by Central Tax Officers. Additionally, the Mangalore Customs Commissionerate will maintain its jurisdiction as specified, with both Bangalore City and Mangalore Commissionerates assuming customs responsibilities from Central Excise formations, ensuring a smooth transition.
