of <h1>Pre-arrival clearance for courier cargo approved; Courier Bill of Entry filing allowed before landing under Regulation 5(2)(a).</h1> The Express Industry Council of India has requested the pre-arrival clearance of courier cargo to speed up processing at the Courier Terminal. Authorized Couriers are now allowed to file the Courier Bill of Entry before the courier cargo lands, as per the powers under Regulation 5(2)(a) of the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998. This procedure will be effective from November 16, 2014.
