of <h1>Coke Breeze Dutiability Clarified for COREX Technology in Pig Iron and Steel Manufacturing; Concessions Extended.</h1> The circular addresses the dutiability of coke breeze produced during the manufacturing of pig iron or steel using COREX technology. It refers to previous notifications that imposed a concessional duty rate on metallurgical coke imported for manufacturing using blast furnaces and exempted it from anti-dumping duties. These concessions were extended to include metallurgical coke used in COREX technology as of January 3, 2003. Consequently, the provisions of a prior circular will apply to coke breeze generated in this process. The notice requests that this information be disseminated to relevant parties and acknowledges receipt of the circular.
