of <h1>Foreign Trade Handbook Amended: VKGUY Codes Deleted, Cooking/Dining Items Excluded as Handicrafts, Effective April 2008 Exports.</h1> The Directorate General of Foreign Trade has amended the Handbook of Procedures, Vol. I RE 2008, under the Foreign Trade Policy 2004-09. The amendments involve corrections to Table 15 of Appendix 37A, effective for exports made from April 1, 2008. Specifically, VKGUY product codes 15.2, 15.4, 15.5, and 15.6 are deleted. Additionally, items used for cooking and dining are not classified as 'Handicraft' and are therefore ineligible for VKGUY benefits under Table 15. The Export Promotion Council for Handicraft will certify products as handicrafts if needed. These changes are issued in the public interest.
