of <h1>New Import Guidelines for Rough Stone Blocks and Slabs: Floor Prices Set for 2008-09 by DGFT.</h1> The circular from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade outlines revised guidelines for importing rough or unprocessed blocks and slabs of agglomerated/artificial stones for the year 2008-09. It amends previous policies by establishing a floor price for these imports: US$250 per metric tonne for rough blocks from China and US$350 for others, and US$20 per square meter for rough slabs from China and US$25 for others, both on a cost, insurance, and freight (cif) basis. The port of registration must be indicated on issued licenses. This directive is approved by the Competent Authority.
