New Circular Allows Duty Credit Scrips from Various Schemes for Clearing Goods from Custom Bonded Warehouses.
The circular addresses the utilization of duty credit scrips from schemes such as SFIS, VKGUY, FMS, FPS, and SHIS for clearing goods from Custom Bonded warehouses. Previously, only DEPB credit scrips were explicitly mentioned for such clearance. The circular clarifies that duty credit scrips from these newer schemes can also be used for this purpose, following the same procedures as DEPB scrips outlined in earlier circulars, and subject to the conditions and limitations specified in the Foreign Trade Policy (2009-14). This decision ensures consistency in the application of customs procedures across different duty credit schemes.
