Cochin Air Cargo Complex Added for Online Transmission of DES, EPCG, DEPB Authorizations Starting August 8, 2011.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has announced the inclusion of the Air Cargo Complex in Cochin as a new location for online transmission of DES (Advance Authorization), EPCG, and DEPB authorizations, effective from August 8, 2011. This addition brings the total to 83 locations where electronic data interchange (EDI) is available. From this date, DEPB applications for shipping bills issued from Cochin must be filed electronically, and all relevant authorizations will be communicated online to Customs. This decision follows previous policy circulars facilitating online exchanges between Customs and DGFT.
