of <h1>Finance Act 2007: Customs Tariff Act amended; new duty rates for iron ores and chromium ores specified.</h1> The Third Schedule of the Finance Act, 2007, amends the Customs Tariff Act by replacing the existing entries for heading numbers 11 and 12 in the Second Schedule. The new provisions specify that iron ores and concentrates of all sorts are subject to a duty rate of Rs. 300 per tonne, while chromium ores and concentrates of all sorts are subject to a duty rate of Rs. 2000 per tonne.
