Central Excise Tariff establishes tariff framework for central excise duties and sets extent and commencement mechanism. Establishes a statutory basis prescribing the tariff for Central Duties of Excise, sets the short title of the enactment, and provides that the Act extends to the whole of India and shall come into force on a date appointed by the Central Government by notification in the Official Gazette.
