of <h1>Nominate a Beneficiary for Term Deposits Under Section 80C(2)(xxi) Before Maturity; Not Applicable for Minors' Accounts.</h1> Under the Bank Term Deposit Scheme, 2006, as per Section 80C(2)(xxi), a single or joint holder of a term deposit can nominate a person to receive the deposit in the event of their death by completing the necessary form at the time of deposit. If not done initially, nomination can be made later, before maturity, through an application to the bank. However, nominations cannot be made for term deposits held by or on behalf of minors.
