Employees Insurance Court has civil court powers to summon witnesses, compel evidence and enforce orders as decrees.

Employees Insurance Court is vested with the powers of a Civil Court to summon and enforce attendance of witnesses, compel discovery and production of documents and material objects, administer oaths and record evidence; it is to be treated as a Civil Court under section 195 and Chapter XXVI of the CrPC. The court follows procedure prescribed by the State Government, costs are discretionary subject to State rules, and its orders are enforceable as if they were Civil Court decrees.
