Determination of Cost of Production rules establish CCI's regulatory framework for calculating production costs under competition law. Regulations titled the Competition Commission of India (Determination of Cost of Production) Regulations, 2025, are made under clause (a) of sub section (2) of section 64 of the Competition Act, 2002, and provide that they shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette; the instrument authorizes the Commission to prescribe how cost of production is to be determined for competition-law purposes.
