Commencement of Finance Act: majority of provisions deemed in force from the start of the 1993-94 financial year. The Finance Act, 1993 is titled as such and, except where otherwise provided, sections 2 to 42 (except section 14) are deemed to have come into force on the first day of April, 1993, making the majority of its provisions operative from the start of the financial year.
