          <h1>Commencement: Amendment Act deemed to commence when the Bill passed by the lower house is passed by the upper house.</h1> Short title names the enactment the Constitution (Thirty-sixth Amendment) Act, 1975. The commencement clause deems the Act to have come into force on the date when the Bill, having been passed by the House of the People, is passed by the Council of States, thereby tying commencement to the Bill's passage through both Houses of Parliament.
