The proposed Legislative Assembly for the new State of Goa will have 40 members, with the current Assembly of 30 elected and three nominated members serving provisionally, excluding two members from Daman and Diu. To implement this, a constitutional amendment is necessary, alongside a separate bill for the reorganization of the territories.
