of <h1>Convention Covers Income Taxes in India and Jordan, Including Future Taxes and Law Changes Notifications</h1> This Convention applies to taxes on income imposed by a Contracting State or its political subdivisions or local authorities, regardless of how they are levied. It covers taxes on total income, elements of income, gains from property alienation, and wages or salaries paid by enterprises. Specifically, it applies to income tax and surcharges in India, and income tax, distribution tax, and social service tax in Jordan. It also extends to any similar taxes introduced after the Convention's signing. The Contracting States' authorities must notify each other of significant changes in their taxation laws.
