These institutions must possess expertise in law, economics, finance, or management and are selected by a committee based on their demonstrated abilities in a sample assessment. The institutions remain on the Panel for three years, with the possibility of re-empanelment. The Commission may also provide training to these institutions on competition assessment methodologies and expectations. The list of institutions on the Panel is publicly available on the Commission's website.
