Penalty for PNR noncompliance may be imposed on aircraft operators or agents, in addition to other legal actions. Regulation 11 authorises the Principal Additional Director General or Additional Director General of the National Customs Targeting Centre Passenger to impose a monetary penalty on an aircraft operator or authorised agent for each act of non compliance with the Passenger Name Record Information Regulations, 2022, the penalty being within a prescribed minimum and maximum band and imposed without prejudice to any other action under the Act or other law.
