Aircraft Operators Must Transfer PNR Data to Customs Systems 24 Hours Before Departure Per 2022 Regulations
Every aircraft operator must transfer passenger name record (PNR) information, as detailed in Annexure-II of the Passenger Name Record Information Regulations, 2022, to designated Customs systems using the PNRGOV EDIFACT message format. This requirement also applies to code-shared flights. In case of technical issues, alternative secure methods may be used as directed by the National Customs Targeting Centre-Passenger. PNR information must be transferred no later than 24 hours before departure and at the departure time (wheels off). The 'push method' refers to transferring PNR data from the operator's systems to the National Customs database.
