Proceedings not open to the public restrict attendance to applicants, department officers and authorised representatives unless the Commission permits.

Proceedings before the Settlement Commission are not open to the public; attendance is limited to the applicant, the applicant's employee, concerned income-tax department officers and authorised representatives, and any other person may be present only with the Commission's permission.
