of <h1>Appellants can appear before Central Government personally or via authorized representatives under Depositories Rules, 1998.</h1> Under the Depositories (Appeal to the Central Government) Rules, 1998, appellants have the right to appear before the Central Government either personally or through an authorized representative. The appellant can authorize an advocate, a chartered accountant, a cost and works accountant, or a company secretary, provided they have the qualifications specified under clause (45) of section 2 of the Companies Act, 1956, to act as their representative.
