Assignment of reward not recognized; legal heirs or nominees may claim the informant's reward subject to Scheme conditions. Assignment of reward under the Scheme is not recognized; rewards cannot be assigned to another person. The competent authority may grant the reward to the deceased informant's legal heirs or nominee(s) subject to the Scheme's provisions. The informant must specify nominee(s) in Annexure-A. If multiple heirs or nominees exist, the reward is distributed equally unless Annexure-A provides otherwise or rights are relinquished.
