Foreign exchange payment rules permit international card payments by residents, subject to legal and export import policy compliance.

Regulation 6 permits payment for imports covered by special government arrangements to be made in accordance with Reserve Bank directions, and allows residents to make foreign exchange payments through an international card provided the transaction conforms with the Act, rules and regulations and, for imports, with the Export Import Policy.
