of <h1>Amendment Removes 'Confiscated' from Money-Laundering Property Restoration Rules Title Under Sections 73 and 8</h1> The Prevention of Money-laundering (Restoration of Confiscated Property) Rules, 2016, established by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, outlines regulations under the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002. Enacted through Notification No. 4/2016 on September 26, 2016, these rules were formulated under the authority of section 73 and section 8 of the Act. The rules came into effect upon their publication in the Official Gazette. Notably, the term 'Confiscated' was omitted from the title in a subsequent amendment through Notification No. G.S.R. 23(E) on January 11, 2019.
